Growing Pains is an ongoing photographic exploration of adolescence, focusing on teens in residential care centers. These centers in Poland house minors placed there by court decisions due to criminal activity or safety concerns. The project captures amplified emotions—boredom, euphoria, anger, and ambivalence—during this turbulent stage of life. Through candid portraits, it seeks to reveal vulnerability, resilience, hope, and despair, offering a sensitive glimpse into their daily struggles and dreams.
