In a world rife with challenges—climate change, political unrest, economic inequality, and social fragmentation—it’s easy to step back and feel a sense of overwhelming absurdity. The landscape of contemporary life is often so chaotic and fraught with contradictions that it mirrors the absurdist themes found in the works of Albert Camus and Samuel Beckett.

In my project I visually embrace the absurd, as Camus suggests, involving a revolt against the status quo and a commitment to live with authenticity despite the inherent meaninglessness of the photographed scenes.
I navigate this tumultuous environment, and view our reality from an ex- ternal perspective, highlighting the inherent chaos of the human condition. It is through this revolt that we can find a semblance of purpose and agency. In recognizing the absurdity of our existence, we may also uncover the seeds of hope, healthy irony and the potential for transformation.
