‘‘I was always sure I had a home, but I always dreamed of others. Living in others, I was looking for the feeling of being at home. The two paradigms of being rooted and being a man of the world collided in me. The ‘Global Village’ has intensified the experience of being several at once and owning several houses at the same time.

The endless search for ‘self in place’ and” ‘place in yourself ‘ challenged the notion of hometown. It became blurred, lost its boundaries, filled with longing, nostalgia, longing for childhood and magic.
This series of photos shows the lyrical route of my camera in search of the geographical coordinates of my dream home, harmony and happiness.’’

P.S. Hiraeth  is a Welsh word that has no direct English translation. The University of Wales, Lampeter, likens it to a homesickness tinged with grief and sadness over the lost or departed. It is a mixture of longing, yearning, nostalgia, wistfulness or an earnest desire for the  past.
